Reading A-Z offers thousands of printable teacher materials to teach leveled reading, phonemic awareness, reading comprehension, reading fluency, alphabet, and vocabulary. The teaching resources include professionally developed downloadable leveled books, lesson plans, worksheets, and reading assessments.

Vocabulary A-Z (SUBSCRIPTION)
Vocabulary A–Z offers a variety of ways to support vocabulary learning in the classroom. The database contains thousands of vocabulary words, with new words added  daily. Additionally, users can access pre-made lessons for Reading A–Z leveled books and Science A–Z units. Vocabulary A–Z also offers pre-made lessons for units found in H-M. Teachers can also add their own words to the database.

The Kahn Academy (FREE!)

The Kahn Academy offers hundreds of free video clips covering K-5 math topics. Each video is a digestible chunk, approximately 10 minutes long, and especially purposed for viewing on the computer. A great supplemental tool to reach students who have non-traditional learning styles. Can be used a mini-lessons. Kahn Academy is also available for students to use at home, whereby they work at their own pace, with progress tracked and accessible to parents and teachers.

AimsWeb BEHAVIOR (McKinley Elementary Subscription)

This is the link to McKinley's formative assessment data management system for BEHAVIOR. McKinley teachers who have opted to used AimsWeb Behavior use their personal login to complete rating scales of student behavior, with the opportunity to select from a menu of behavioral interventions tailored to the needs of individuals.

Dynamic Measurement Group  (DMG) is an educational company that is dedicated to supporting success for children and schools. DMG was founded by Roland H. Good, III, and Ruth Kaminski, authors of the Dynamic Indicators of Basic Early Literacy Skills (DIBELS®), and is the official home of DIBELS research, development, and training. There are links on DMG to current reading research, related training and PD. DMG also provide free downloads of all DIBELS Next probes and benchmark goals. DMG is also home to our district's DIBELS data managment system; dibels.net.

This is the link to SLUSD's formative assessment (DIBELS) data management system. This is where teachers enter benchmark and progress monitor scores, as well as print reports on students' reading growth.

AIMS WEB (McKinley Elementary Subscription)

This is the link to McKinley's formative assessment data management system for MATH. McKinley teachers who have opted to used AimsWeb use their personal login to download probes for computation and other standards-based math concepts. Scores for benchmark, strategic and progress monitoring are entered into the system, with reports instantly available to inform instruction.
