RECYCLE FOR AMERICA
Selfless Service, putting the welfare of others before our own,
is one of the Seven Core Values that Mr. Truong tries to instill
in his fifth grade students every year. This year, they are continuing
a selfless service project called Recycle for America. All year
long, his students are asked to bring in empty aluminum cans.
About once a month, Mr. Truong takes all the cans to the redemption
center. Everytime the class accumulates $10.00 in cans, he writes
a check in that amount to a student-chosen charity. This, of course,
could not have happened without the support of our students, community
members, and teachers. Please continue to save your aluminum cans
for Mr. Truong's class and bring in your can collections and leave
them in front of Portable E in the mornings. Thanks again to all
who've supported the Recycle for America project in the past!

Would you like to earn money for McKinley and our 5th Grade Outdoor
