On Saturday, October 4, 2008, 12 volunteers organized by Peterson in the Community, by our PTO Co-President, Jaime Maldonado. We worked for 5 hours and Peterson Tractor provided free lunch for all the workers. Mrs. Mott's husband who also works in construction in Hayward currently, came to work as well. Foster Valrey, a McKinley grandparent has additionally assisted with getting $100 dollars for us to replace the rotten planter boxes, which he will build for us. He has also worked on power hosing a cement pathway, which was discovered upon clearing weeds, and use any money left to buy rose bushes for our Community Garden, just re-established this 2008-2009 school year. |
