Welcome to our fourth/fifth grade family!  My name is Mr. Truong, and I will be your teacher this year.  I am very excited that I’ll get to work with a great group of students like each and every one of you!

So I bet you’re wondering who I am?  I’ve taught fourth grade at McKinley School for six years.  This is my sixth year teaching fifth grade, and I’m loving every moment of it.  Teaching is my favorite thing to do and was what I always wanted to do since I was a kid.  Even though it is a lot of hard work, I enjoy seeing students succeed in everything they do.

I live in Hayward with my wife, but I visit my parents in San Leandro a lot.  Besides teaching, I enjoy reading good books, watching new movies, listening to music, playing different sports, riding my motorcycle and mountain bikes, spending time with friends, shooting pool, and even playing video games!  Sports games are my favorite!  I am always open to different ideas and like to try out new things.

Once again, on behalf of everyone here at McKinley School, WELCOME BACK!  We are going to work very hard this year and try to accomplish all of our goals.  Remember, together we can do ANYTHING as long as we work hard as a team!
