Homework: Homework Packets – Friday to Friday Reading log – 20 minutes per day Homework packets will go home and come back to school with the students on Fridays. Please sit with your student as they complete their work. Each packet will include: Language Arts and Math. They are set up to be practice of skills we have done in class but they still need your support. Thank you for your assistance and encouragement for your scholar. Absent work: If your child is absent the work needs to be turned in promptly upon his/her return. If absent on Monday and return to school on Tuesday the absent work should be turned in on Wednesday. Give yourself one day for everyday absent if there is a long-term absence. Birthdays: Children celebrating birthdays during the school year may bring treats to share with the class as a snack only. Cookies or cupcakes and juice boxes or water bottles are preferred. Please let me know in advance if you plan to bring in treats. Our calendar and daily agenda is very full with Class Celebrations: Fall - Halloween – October – the last instructional day of October. Winter – December – the last day before the winter break. 100th day – We will be celebrating our 100th day in school. Valentine’s Day – February 14th – exchanging valentine’s and snacks. Spring – the last day before spring break. Last day of school – BBQ at I will send home notes with ideas and requests before each event. Thank you in advance for your support and contributions to our class. Behavior: Students will each have a Kindergarten Sticker book where they will receive stickers for positive behavior. Students are encouraged to be “Be nice and work hard” at all times. Their hard work and appropriate behavior pays off. Again, I welcome your active participation in your scholars education.
